Clergy

The Rev. Meaghan Keegan, Priest-in-Charge

I have a deep desire to serve God's people, especially in small town churches.  I myself am in seminary, as a distance learner at Trinity School of Ministry in Ambridge, PA and will be graduating in May 2022. I was ordained a deacon on March 21, 2020 and ordained as a priest on November 15, 2020 and serve as the Priest-in-Charge of the parish. My ultimate goal is in helping others live lives where they continually grow closer to Jesus through word and sacrament and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Unity and fellowship within the body is something I strive for, as is equipping God's people to share the gospel in word and action.

In addition to my work at St. Stephen's I serve as the Rector at St. Paul's in Greenwich, NY and also as the Communications & Business Officer for the Episcopal Diocese of Albany. I work with both the Greenwich and Schyulerville ecumenical councils and also serve on various diocesan committees including Missions, Salary & Benefits, and the Annual Convention planning team.

My husband Denny and I have four children together in our blended family, and much of our life revolves around them and their numerous extracurricular and school activities. Denny and I both love music and have worked to supplement the traditional hymns with contemporary music on guitar and keyboard. We both love to study the Bible and participate in and/or lead several group studies while maintaining our own personal study. Denny is also in the Deacon Formation program and God willing, will be ordaines to the Diaconate in the not so distant future. To sum it up, God, the church and our family is our life and we manage to spend quality time together visiting some of our favorite spots, enjoying dinner out, going to hockey games, playing trivia, hiking, fishing, playing golf or just lounging around watching our favorite shows.  Serving together musically and being part of the Walk to Emmaus community is also a favorite activity of ours.
